Steppenwolf Theater

Steppenwolf artists are invited into our classrooms to co-teach lessons on plays for several days both before and after students view a performance at the Steppenwolf Theater.

Young Chicago Authros (Louder Than A Bomb)

LVLHS has a Louder Than A Bomb Poetry team and Ms. Deem is one of our coaches.  We've hosted performances at LVLHS in the past.

In the Light Studios

In the Light Studios has partnered with MAS to help us tell our story that is unique to our school and students. They are also helping our school develop our Digital Media Studio and Curriculum

National Museum of Mexican Art

The National Museum of Mexican Art provides our teachers with on-site art training for lesson plan development and in-class art-making led by a teaching artist. 

Education First (SEL in Action)

Education First has partnered with MAS by supporting us financially with our restorative justice work in Peer Conference.

Alternatives, Inc.

Developing our capacity for restorative justice, peace circles, and community building, Alternative has helped formalize and continues to coach our Peer Conference work and has allowed our students to help plan and participate in the Restorative Justice Youth Summit.

Mikva Challenge

Mikva Challenge has tangentially supported our work in Civics and Student Voice Committee for many years.  Most recently, Mr. Jablonsky helped chaperone a student campaign trip to the Iowa caucus in January 2020.

Illinois Monarch Project

In the summer of 2019, a group of our current seniors as part of an internship through UIC at the Latino Cultural Center.  It involved art-making and ultimately planning a butterfly sanctuary at LVLHS.  The pandemic has stymied what would have been ongoing work with the support of Enlace. 

WorldStrides

Mr. Jablonsky helped organize and co-chaperoned a field trip of MAS and WL students to the 2017 presidential inauguration in Washington, D.C.  We did not participate in 2021, of course.
